Search Engine Academy Chooses Executive Space Model For Training Sessions

Nancy Wigal

Being certified in search engine optimization (SEO) is a highly valued skill in today’s marketplace, and through the Search Engine Academy clients can earn such credentials in only a matter of days.  Nancy Wigal, owner of Search Engine Academy Washington DC, trains consumers to be SEO-certified through two, three, and five-day courses—all taking place at an executive space conference room located at 1025 Connecticut Avenue.

“I had some very specific requirements [when looking for training space] such as the flexibility to schedule training space on demand, Internet access for multiple attendees at a time, and having an area to set up my projector,” Wigal said.  “DC Business Centers was able to fulfill all my requirements,” she said.

Unlike a traditional office space lease, executive space agreement terms can be customized to each client.  Typically, when leasing space from landlords or property managers, there is a minimum requirement of 3,000-square feet or more and minimum term lengths of three to five years.  But with executive space, companies like Search Engine Academy can secure only the space they need for just the amount of time they want; perfect for holding training sessions on demand!

The original academy started in Las Vegas in 1999 and now offers training sessions all over the United States and Canada, in Australia and Malaysia.  The Washington, DC academy started off on 19th and I St. NW (at another executive office space), but recently moved to its current location.

When initially searching for the ideal training location, Wigal “went online and literally typed in ‘DC office + training space’ and was quickly led to finding DC Business Centers” she said.  “The executive space office model has always been the kind of model I was shooting for, but until I did my Google search, I wasn’t sure that it existed,” Wigal said.  “But, I’m quite happy that it does right here in DC.”

Wigal said she is “very happy” with the academy’s current location.  Many other locations she initially researched were either not Metro accessible, did not have adequate Internet access, or offered limited parking options.  “The [current] space perfectly fits my needs,” Wigal said.  “Finding the space, and my encounter using it has been a very positive, pleasant experience.  I have never had any scheduling difficulties, and I am really impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff is,” Wigal said.  “They always make me feel welcome!”
